My Story

Hello!

My name is Brittany Church and I am a photographer located in Middle Tennessee. Although I headquarter in Middle TN, I travel and shoot all over the Southeast. I grew up in a small town in rural Grundy County, TN (cue the song "Grundy County Auction"...and yes, I know it by heart). Located in the South Cumberland Region of the Cumberland Plateau, Tracy City is a beautiful little town full of genuine, kind-hearted people who love Jesus, football, and treasure the value of family!

I nurtured my love for photography during my teenage years by experimenting with various equipment and techniques, as well as shooting for my school and serving on our yearbook committee. I graduated Grundy County High School in 2018 and began my journey pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing Communications with a Minor in Art Studies at Freed Hardeman University. There I attended college for two years, studying marketing concepts as well as ideas in film, history of photography, and digital photography, before taking a gap year when Covid-19 hit our nation in 2020, and transferring to East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN where I now attend. I will graduate ETSU with my Bachelor's in December 2023 and fully dedicate my time and efforts toward my life's goal of bringing joy to people by preserving their favorite moments and opening a professional studio in Middle TN!

My passion for photography began as a sophomore in high school, who just could not resist playing around with her mother's vintage film and digital cameras. I remember, as a kid, my mom always had rolls upon rolls of film, and cameras for every event and special occasion. She would take what seemed like a thousand photos because she didn't want to miss the chance to record and preserve every previous moment! What started as a fun hobby one boring summer during high school soon developed into a strong passion for the art of photography. It brings me great joy to see others in their happiest moments, and help capture those moments to treasure forever!
